The story of fortyONE films began when its creator, Vanessa De Los Santos had a desire to let her passion for film and editing resurface and become a part of her life once again. Vanessa studied at Columbia College Chicago where she received her Bachelors degree in Television and Post Production. The inspiration behind fortyONE films comes from two of the most important people in Vanessa's life. Her grandparents, the late Vicente Herrera Sr. and Maria Praxedis Herrera. As a child, Vanessa wanted to spend most if not all of her free time with her loving and adoring abuelitos. In her eyes, they exemplified what a true and perfect love was all about. Affection, sacrifice, caring, respect, morality, compromise and communication were just a few of the things that her abuelitos demonstrated on a daily basis over the span of 70 years of marriage. Yes, that's correct, over 70 years of marriage. Her abuelitos' example of their undying commitment to one another since 1941 was the idea behind the name. Hence, fortyONE films.
Through her creative vision, Vanessa along with her husband, Helio (who she met at Columbia) look forward to the opportunity to tell your story in a unique and cinematic way. The old saying goes, a picture is worth a thousand words. If that's the case, imagine how many words a video is worth. Whether it's your wedding day, telling your couple story or sending a save the date video, let fortyONE films portray that story for the world to see.
